The Meeting
Can you imagine a conversation between iconic civil rights leaders Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X in 1965? “The Meeting” is that conversation. “The Meeting” takes place in a Harlem hotel in 1965. It is symbolic in its depiction of a hypothetical meeting between two icons of that time, Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Factual words spoken by each have been woven into the dialogue. Differing in philosophies, but alike in their mutual respect, the men debate their varying approaches to the same grave social problems.
